Gather in person at UUCWC to participate virtually in workshops hosted at the main conference site.
8:30 AM – Registration
9:00AM – Workshop 1: Trans 101 for the new, curious, and open:
10:00AM – Workshop 2 Let’s Deconstruct the Binary Together:. This workshop welcomes people of all genders and experiences, though at least a 101 level of understanding trans allyship is required.
11:00AM Workshop 3: Shapeshifters: Exploring and Affirming Gender Diversity thru Art and Stories: The book ‘Shapeshifters’ tells the stories of seven artists who share their gender explorations ‘beyond the binary.’ Using the book as a jumping off point, this workshop will provide folks the opportunity to discuss their journey with gender, both for ourselves and with significant people in our lives. A special emphasis will be on how we can be allies to nonbinary, queer, and trans folks.
12:00PM – Lunch: vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian-friendly lunch will be served. Donations welcome. During this time, affinity spaces are available for connecting with folks with similar experiences and interests.
1:00PM – Welcome and Keynote by Spencer Bergsedt. Spencer is a trans man whose work on LGBTQ legal issues has earned him an international reputation. He is an author, consultant, advocate, parent, and engaging speaker. You can find him on his Trans Dad channel on Instagram.
2:45PM – Three workshops in-person:
- Responding to the Anti-Trans Movement
- Discussion and debrief for trans, non-binary folks
- Discussion and debrief for cis gender folks
4:00PM – Community gathering and closing
Two rooms are available throughout the day for attendees:
- A separate space for trans, non-binary, and gender expansive people to network and connect
- An art space/quiet space for all.

- Our building has an all-gender restroom, and people are encouraged to use the restroom where they feel most comfortable

- Vegan and gluten free food options will be available, however if you have special dietary needs please feel free bring to bring your own food. Refrigerator and microwave available.
- Masks are welcome
- Our chairs are comfortable for all sizes
- A dedicated quiet space and sensory fidgets will be available
- People are welcome to stand or move around as they wish.
