with the 2016 UUCWC Auction

The UUCWC auction happens each spring and is the most important fundraising event of the year. Proceeds from the auction go into general operating funds and help to support our church programs. The auction is both silent (the two weeks preceding the live event) and a live auction event on Saturday night with a professional auctioneer.

We pick a theme for the auction (this year “To the Next 100 Years!”) and build food and decorations around the theme to make the evening a really special time. Good food, drink and lots of fun.  Here’s a quick overview of the auction!

And did we mention food?  One thing we all love about the live auction is the great food.  You will not want to miss the goodies on May 7.

Child Care Offered During the Live Auction on May 7

To make it possible for families with children to attend the live auction, we are offering childcare included with the price of adult admission. A special program is being planned for kids of various ages. In order to have enough activities and caregivers, we must know in advance how many children will be coming and their ages. Please stop by the auction table in the lobby to sign up for childcare or contact Connie Schofer.

Auction contributions come from our friends and members and are limited only to their creativity (so they are unlimited!). People may have an item of value to donate, host an event or offer goods or services; just to mention some ideas. Here are lots of contribution ideas, and more ideas that might cost a bit of time, but little money.

Please let us know what you would like to contribute by April 3 by completing and submitting an auction contribution form for each item and/or service.  You may download the form as a Word document, a pdf, or complete our online contribution form at the end of this page.

Advertising – Do you have a business that you would like to advertise in the auction program book? Do you know a business that might like to advertise? Please help us out by selling ads. You can download the advertising form (Word document or pdf) here.

Silent Auction Sundays – April 24 and May 1

The Auction Book, with all your creative and intriguing contributions, will be available in the Crossings Room between and after services, and will be posted here after it is compiled  Sign up for those events with limited participation and put your bids in on other set price offerings.
