In this talk, Professor Ruha Benjamin will pair social scientific insights on racism and inequality with spiritual insights on human oneness and justice which, taken together, offer tools that we urgently need to create a better world.

Ruha Benjamin is a faculty member in the Department of African American Studies at Princeton University, 2016-17 fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study, and author of People’s Science: Bodies and Rights on the Stem Cell Frontier, among many other works. Ruha was born in India to Black and Iranian parents, raised in Los Angeles and South Carolina, lived and traveled in over 20 countries, and currently resides with her family in Princeton, New Jersey where she is active in the Baha’i Faith.
