Benjamin Van Dyne is a PhD candidate in systematic theology at Fordham University, where he studies the interconnections between evolving concepts of race end theological understandings of death and personhood. He teaches both introductory and advanced religion classes at several colleges in the New York City area. Benjamin grew up in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington, Virginia and remains connected with local church communities. He lives in the Bronx with his two children.
