You may have read (or heard at the Annual Meeting) about the recommendations made by the Congregational Engagement Task Force to facilitate a deepened sense of belonging and participation in the work of UUCWC.  Nathalie Edmond and Pam Shadzik are enthusiastic about co-leading this year’s work to realize the recommendations of the task force. 

This committee blends the “doing” of nominating committee with the ministry of supporting people to build nourishing relationships and engaging in leadership roles in their faith community. There are numerous elements to this work that require a broad variety of skill sets, including interviewing congregants to learn about their interests, recording information, nominating select leadership roles, developing leadership education, and creating a renewal and transition retreat for leaders. We expect that we will develop these elements in phases, beginning with creating clarity around structure and processes.

We will be holding a “kick off” meeting in September to begin planning this work.  We welcome the participation of all congregants who might be interested in this work, even if you’re not sure about it and would just like to check it out.
