Cosmic Crossing Spring Season Opens with Ambient Soundscapes

By Nick Mellis

The spring season of Cosmic Crossing kicks off Saturday, March 15, at 8 p.m. at UUCWC, featuring an evening of ambient music with Bryan Nord and Worst Night Ever.

Bryan Nord, a Philadelphia-based musician, blends electronic, experimental, and post-rock elements, drawing inspiration from progressive rock and electronic music. His signature style merges odd-time signatures, found sounds, and melodic synth lines, creating unexpected and familiar music. His work is available on streaming platforms and featured on WPRB (U.S.) and Radio TFSC (UK).

Worst Night Ever, the ambient duo of Arthur and Daniel, has been creating soundscapes since childhood. Their past projects have won the 33 1/3 Book Series Home Recording Contest, placed in Spain’s Erotic and Bizarre Art Film Festival, and charted on DIY radio. Arthur recently brought modular synths to Carnegie Hall, performing with Jon Batiste’s American Symphony. Worst Night Ever is the performance extension of their Mortal Hearts project, which fuses sound with immersive art.

Tickets are $10, with all proceeds benefiting UUCWC. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
