Connection, Hospitality and Our Church
Rev. Sue Goodwin, Minister of Congregational Life
As most of you know, I am filling in for Rev. Kim in the areas of preaching and pastoral care and I’ve been charged with “letting go” of some of my Congregational Life duties until post-sabbatical because I am a part time employee working twenty hours a week. Of course, this being a church, we were due for a “mini miracle” and it has arrived in the form of the Connection Team. Read more…
Contact Rev. Sue if you would like to be involved in the Congregational Life Council.
Have You Ever Had a Question About UUCWC?
Holly Bussey, Membership Ministry
What is an Ask Me Table? Just that! Ask the person there a question about UUCWC (or even UUism in general) and we’ll try to point you in the right direction or help you make a connection. The ASK ME Table will make its debut on January 26, after each service in the foyer. We will be posting a schedule for monthly appearances soon. Read more…

The focus of the meeting was to have a presentation by the Capital Campaign team and to capture the institutional wisdom of the various policies and procedures. Read more…
The next council meeting is February 26. All are welcome to attend.

Love is the Spirit of this Church
Michael Howe-Smith, Pastoral Care Ministry
I’m sure you’d agree with the sentiment in my headline. The words are taken from one of our UU covenants. This one continues: Love is the spirit of this church and service is its law. This is our great covenant: to dwell together in peace, to seek the truth in love, and to help one another. – James Vila Blake
Notice how the covenant begins by emphasizing service and continues by teaching how we may serve: Help one another. Read more…
