7:00pm Feed Your Spirit, Feed Your Body
Join us for dessert and tea.
7:30pm – 8:30pm Blue Christmas
Rev. Kim Wildszewski, Hannah Gallo
The holiday season is fraught with expected cheer. At UUCWC, we offer a space to honor those who grieve during this time, feel the weight of the darkness and cold, or who generally feel out of sync with the forced happiness of the holidays. Join us for a service of readings, music, and candlelight.
7:30pm – 8:30pm Ornament Making
Or you may participate in ornament making with Robin Pugh.
All are welcome!
Sunday, December 23 at 9:00am
The Longest Night
Days after Solstice, the longest night of the year, we take this early hour to steep into meditations on the earth’s turning.
Sunday, December 23 at 11:00am
Born In Bethlehem: A Christmas Pageant
Come join us for a participatory nativity pageant during our family Christmas service.
Only a few roles are cast in advance of the service, the rest of the at least 27 participants (including shepherds, stars, kings, and animals) take part as the story is told. Everyone is invited to sing carols and imagine that they are in Bethlehem 2014 years ago. Guests are welcome to participate.
Robin Pugh, DLRE, Caryl Tipton, Director of Music Ministry, Hannah Gallo, Ministerial Resident and Rev. Kim Wildszewski coordinating.
Monday, December 24 at 8:00pm
A Messiah Was Born
Each year we gather to retell the story of Christmas. We do so again this year, with the Choir singing the indomitable Messiah, and with reflections from Rev. Kim on what it means for a messiah to be born.
Sunday, December 30 at 10:00am
Annual Generations Service: “Who Knows Where the Time Goes?”
As we prepare to begin a new year, eight members of the congregation, representing eight different generations (teens through eighties), share their stories of a moment of time in their lives that inspired them with a sense of optimism about their place in the world, or reaffirmed or reinforced their sense of self. Music by Natalie Acciani.
This Sunday there will be one service at 10am.
