Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar is Senior Minister at the 2200 member All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa Oklahoma. Rev. Lavanhar lost his 3 year old daughter Sienna in 2006. In this special service he will invite us to imagine how we can support Rev Kim in the coming months.

Marlin grew up Unitarian Universalist attending North Shore Unitarian Church in Deerfield, Il, graduating from Tulane University and Harvard Divinity School. He was ordained at First Church in Boston in 1999 and was called to All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa as Senior Minister at the age of 31. All Souls has become an intentionally multiracial and multicultural congregation, and this congregation was featured recently in the 2019 film “American Heretics: The Politics of the Gospel.” Marlin is married to Anitra Lavanhar and they have a son Elias born in 2000 and a daughter Lyla born 2008. Their daughter Sienna died in 2006 three days after her third birthday.
