On this joys and sorrows Sunday, we further our conversation on location-making and deepen our practice of connection.
How do we create places of belonging for ourselves and our spirit? How do we locate ourselves through story and intention? With Rev. Kim and Greg Pontier as our musician, we’ll consider the gift and practice of location-making.
For 100 years Unitarians and Unitarian Universalists have celebrated the Flower Ceremony in different ways all throughout the world. This Sunday, gather in thanks, in celebration, and in awe of the bounty we are together. Bring a flower to share! Congregational potluck picnic with professional jazz musicians will follow! All are welcome!
Each spring we honor the changes that have taken place in the life of our community: births and deaths; new unions and untanglings; retirements and moves; bridging and dedications. Come to lift up or be lifted up as the wheel of life turns. Our Annual Congregational Meeting will follow shortly after this sacred rituals service.
Each year Rev. Kim invites questions from the congregation on theology, congregational life, big questions and mundane wonderings. In appreciation of a question from last year: How do you balance it all? Rev. Kim will answer as many questions as possible, modeling a complete but joyful lack of control!
With members of the Choir singing, we explore Susan Vigilante’s auction-won sermon on our power and purpose at the end of a loved one’s life. The congregation will also welcome our new Director of Family Ministry, Julie Rigano. Our Annual Budget Meeting will follow this beautiful and important service.
