This time of year many supermarkets offer free turkeys for the holiday. It has long been a UUCWC tradition to donate those turkeys to TASK (Trenton Area Soup Kitchen).
This year, there will be two ways to donate turkeys. There will be limited ability to drop your turkeys off at UUCWC or you can drop them off at TASK yourself.
You can drop your turkeys off at UUCWC on Tuesdays from 8AM to 3PM. You may want to email the office at uucwc@uucwc.org before you deliver them. You can also email the office to schedule a time.
Here is the information you’ll need to take your turkey directly to TASK:
Donation Delivery times at TASK are Monday through Thursday from 8AM to 5PM and Friday from 8AM to 1PM.
They share a driveway with the Trenton Animal Shelter. Use that driveway and go to the double doors on the Right. There’s a sign on the door that says deliveries. Ring the bell and someone will come to help you. Please do not leave items at TASK when no one is there.
